NTNU at Nordic Hydrogen Valleys Conference 2026

Researchers from NTNU, a partner in the Hi-EFECTS project, shared recent research results at the Nordic Hydrogen Valleys Conference 2026 in Trondheim, Norway.

The poster entitled “Marine fuel combustion testing at NTNU, Department of Marine Technology and ComKin Group”, was presented by David Emberson, David Zilles, and Sai Kirutheka Peram from the Department of Marine Technology, NTNU, in collaboration with the ComKin – Combustion Kinetics Group.

The presented work focused on marine fuel combustion testing for future low-emission shipping, including studies of ammonia, methanol, hydrogen, and biofuel-related fuel blends. The research also covered experimental work using NTNU’s Combustion Research Unit (CRU), with attention to fuel injection, ignition behaviour, spray characterization, and combustion performance.
