Hi-EFECTS results presented at German Maritime Day 2025

The Hi-EFECTS project was represented internationally yesterday, with a discussion on potential liquid carbonless fuels for maritime use at the German Maritime Day 2025. The possibility of using carbonless fuel blends made from three components including ammonia, water and ammonium peroxide or hydrogen peroxide were discussed in a session on the possibilities of maritime engineering solutions for protecting the climate. The discussion included potential benefits and risks associated with sich a solution, and highlighted the need for more work in terms of defining the performance and safety of such blends.
