From 26 to 31 July 2026, the Hi-EFECTS project joined the 41st International Symposium on Combustion in Kyoto, Japan. Researchers from Aalto University and Lund University presented recent research results on ammonia and hydrogen combustion, contributing to discussions on cleaner energy solutions for marine applications.
The 41st International Symposium on Combustion is the biennial world congress and flagship scientific meeting of The Combustion Institute, widely regarded as the premier international conference in combustion science. The 2026 symposium was the largest in the series' history, bringing together nearly 2,000 participants from more than 40 countries and featuring more than 2,000 presentations by over 1,200 presenters across the major areas of combustion science and technology.
